the Modern Arch Quartet is a platform dealing with architecture by keeping together different approaches: from scientific research carried out at Università Iuav di Venezia, to participation in international design competitions and workshops, from interventions of refurbishment to the construction of exhibition spaces, maintaining an artisanal attention over the design process. The projects are always intended as an opportunity to investigate some recurring themes of architecture: the idea of stratification, as a tool to reinterpret the relationship between interventions and the character of places; the design of public spaces as an inlay, where to recompose traces, alignments and physical signs together with stories, memories and figures from collective imaginaries; the continuous confrontation between urban strategy and architectural composition in the design and regeneration of small and large parts of the city.
